ABOUT
The Emerging Markets Society (EMS) aims to develop scholarly capacity and create, curate, and disseminate knowledge of emerging markets. It brings together scholars and specialists with an interest in different aspects of business, management, and policy research in emerging markets.
EMS partners with universities and organizations to conduct research, teaching, and practice-oriented activities. It organizes and supports academic conferences and workshops to develop scholarly capacity in emerging markets.

Ajai Gaur
Ajai Gaur is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management and International Business at Rutgers Business School. He is serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of World Business and a consulting editor at the Journal of International Business Studies. He served as the president of the Asia Academy of Management for two terms from 2015 to 2019. In 2018, Ajai was appointed as an honorary chair professor at the Jilin University and Dean’s Research Professor at the Rutgers Business School.

Vikas Kumar
Vikas Kumar is the Head of Discipline and Professor in the Discipline of International Business at the University of Sydney Business School. He has been an Assistant Professor at Bocconi University, a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, and the Dunning Fellow at the University of Reading. Vikas is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Asia Business Studies. He will take over as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Management from Jan 2020.
